great collars

I stopped selling my handmade collars a while ago after totally exhausting myself making a huge batch for modcloth (the black ones are now out of stock but I think you can still grab those maroon velvet ones if you're so inclined)! I saw them popping up in other Etsy shops and even here in Montreal and just sort of got bored with them, or I suppose just bored with making them as I still think they're an awesome accessory. Today out of curiosity I typed "detachable peter pan collars" into Etsy search to see other folks' designs and I was happy to see that a few people are making really lovely ones. My favourites are these ones from luminia with their big beautiful bow closures:

Really pretty, I think! She makes simpler ones too if  bows aren't your thing. They're also refreshingly affordable at £12 GBP which translates to less than $20.

I'm also really liking these cuties from zitachocarro. This vibrant mustard coloured one is my favourite of hers:

 Sweet, right?

I was just struck by these and wanted to write a little post about them since I'd also forgotten to blog in over a week (oops). I've got a bunch of "gotta post about that!" ideas swimming around in my head including a new project restyle project I completed and a post featuring photos of ladies in clothes from my vintage shop. These are coming as soon as I have the time to compile them! In the meantime, hope you're all doing great. xo

Hey Janette, thank you! Unfortunately yes, other than super special orders I'm pretty much done with collars. I should probably "never say never" just in case but for now I'm retired!
