watercolour sketchbook

I haven't worked with watercolours in years and years but, to my delight, my brother got me a little set for Christmas. Since I've been in a sort of illustration rut for a while I decided to get a watercolour pad and fill it up like a sketchbook. My skills are mediocre at best but I'm determined to keep practicing! Here are the first two pages I've worked on. I'm almost embarrassed to show them because they're truly beginner style but bear with me...

They're photos because I don't trust my horrid scanner to make them look anything but awful. Hmph. In other news, I had an amazing sales week at Young Captive. I'm not gonna be able to shoot with Kerry again until next Sunday but after that I'll have lots of new stuff up in the shop! Can't wait.
