excellent

i've been stalling on posting since i wanted to show photos of my "little dresses" piece as i presented it at my final critique on tuesday, but with the daytime hours being so short and me working 9 to 5 nearly every day whenever i get home the lighting is awful.

since finishing the piece you'd think i'd be relieved but an even more stressful task is now upon me: making 100 collars for a wholesale order for modcloth! i'm totally excited about it, but stressing all the same. i need to have the first 50 ready quite soon so every evening after work i've been installing myself in front of the sewing machine and going nuts. i'll definitely post a link when they're up on the site. i'm especially stoked about some "mulberry" coloured velvet ones i'm making for them. i guess it's pretty trendy right now but i'm loving everything velvety. it's a pity most of the velvet dresses in my price range are made of the (in my opinion) awful crushed stuff. i like my velvet uniformly BLACK. smoooth and soft. mmm.
